WYKAAO Functions
We had our first Karaoke gathering in almost two years’ time, at our favourite venue PolyArt Studio on Sunday December 4, 2016. We have some new faces joining our interest group for a fun afternoon. Click here to see more pictures.
More than seven years after the first Wino gathering (Nov 14, 2009), all former and current Wino members were invited to join a reunion (meeting #54) on November 29, 2016 to celebrate the company of one of the strongest interest groups in WYKAAO, and of course to drink some good wines. John Kan (67) selected the wines based on the menu proposed by Jeff Mah (78). Click here to see the report.

Annual General Meeting 2016 was held on Saturday October 15 at a Chinese restaurant in Richmond Hill. Close to 90 alumni, families and friends attended the dinner following the AGM. Among them were six young Wahyanites currently studying in universities, very encouraging for the association. Gus Yeung (’66) and Michael Leung (’76) were presented commemorative awards as graduates from the honoured class years ending with 6. Click here to see more pictures.

Team WYKAAO had a friendly soccer rematch with the alumni of Chinese University Hong Kong on Sunday September 25 at Calvert Park. With a few new recruits joining our team, we’ve managed to secure another win over our opponents. Click here to see more pictures.

After a brief meet-up at Peter Wong’s with some WYKAAO directors, Frank and Jerry set out to tour downtown Toronto, visiting Mon Sheong Community and Volunteer Services Centre and meeting with two professors in University of Toronto, Raymond Kwong (WYK ’66) and Raymond Kan (WYK ’78). The tour covered most of downtown core, China Town and water front areas. Click here to see more pictures.
Frank Wong and Jerry Guo, the two Wah Yan student ambassadors, joined the WYKAAO outing to St. Jacobs with other alumni members on Saturday August 13, followed by a tour to Niagara Falls. Click the following to see more pictures (Day 7, Niagara Falls).
