WYKAAO Functions
WYKAAO held a Gala Dinner celebrating its 40th anniversary at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall on Sunday January 28, 2024. Being the first major event since the pandemic subsided, the turnout was above expectation. During the program, announcements were made that a number of activities are being organized to commemorate the centenary of Wah Yan College Kowloon in the 2024-2025 school year. WYKAAO held its 2023 Annual General Meeting on Sunday October 29 at Chef 88 Oriental Cuisine, followed by a lunch gathering well attended by members, families and friends. One of the upcoming events announced is to celebrate WYKAAO 40th and WYK 100th Anniversaries on Sunday January 28 at Crystal Fountain Banquet Halls, which will be the first major project since 2018 when we commemorated 35 years since the inception of our alumni association.
The Award is open to students whose aggregate total of their best six Grade 12 credits gained in 2022~2023 academic year is 480 or over. Details of the award, its qualifications and the application form can be found here. The completed application form must be submitted on or before 22nd October 2023.
Successful candidates will be notified and announced at WYKAAO Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 29th October 2023. This year a lunch gathering will follow the AGM.
Team Wah Yan had a friendly soccer game with CUHK Alumni on Sunday September 10 at Bayview Reservoir Park.
Our Wah Yan Alumni Soccer Team in Ontario have their second jersey just in time for the upcoming joint-school soccer fun day on August 27.
(Saturday July 29) The hiking of Eldred King Tract was cancelled due to a rainy morning but the visit to Gallucci Winery and the lunch at Fortune Villa took place as planned. Close to 30 WYK and WYHK alumni, families and friends attended. Click here to see more pictures.
(Thursday July 27) A number of executive members from WYK and WYHK alumni associations hosted a lunch with Cedric Ko (’94), Vice President of WYKPSA, who is in town. Ethan, Cedric’s son, is a current student of WYK.
