Lee Wai Nang

Dear Wai Hon,
As Wah Yan Class of 1962 schoolmates, we are all much shocked and saddened to hear the most tragic news on Wai Nang's passing.
Many thanks for the very well-written, interesting and enlightening article "Stories of the Four Brothers" which let us belatedly know more about our schoolmate now in God's embrace. May he rest in eternal peace in Heaven.
Please accept Wah Yan class of 62s' collective heartfelt sympathies and condolences on behalf of all members of the Lee family and his daughter for such a sad lost of a dear one.
Take care, good health and God bless,
Alex Mak (WYK62)

P.S.
With this email, I have attached:
1) Wah Yan Form5A class photo,
2) A color photo taken at a Wah Yan alumni gathering in L.A. which Wai Nang attended but I have no idea of the date.

Stories of Four Brothers;

Dear Alex,

With a heavy heart, I want to inform you and our classmates that Lee Wai Nang passed away on June 18 in Southern California。Please see my exchanges with his older brother Wai Hon. My wife and Wai Hon's wife are first cousins.

I will forward Wai Hon's follow up email that includes something he wrote to remember Wai Nang separately.

I am shocked and deeply sadden by this news!!! My deepest sympathy for you loss!!!! Please extend my sincere condolences to his wife (I recall she's Doreen??? Not so sure!), and his immediate family (I think he has one daughter, correct?)I will certainly pass on this sad news to my Wah Yan classmates. I miss seeing Wai Nang for many many years, and I think the last time was through you. May he rest in peace!!

If you don't mind, please share something about Wai Nang with all of his Wah Yan classmates to remember him. He was one of the three "Lee's" that ranked 1-2-3 in our class at every exam throughout our Wah Yan years! Was his passing very sudden or has he been ill for a while? I know it's not the right time now as the family is going through this difficult time, but perhaps after things are settled down. I am traveling in France now and will return home this Thursday.

Take care,

Warmest Regards, Philip

Hi Philip,
His wife passed away in 2017 and now he. Both died after discovering late stage cancer.
Last week when I heard that he did not want to burden his daughter with more sadness with funeral or memorial service, I wrote a article about my mother’s four eldest sons. I plan to read to him yesterday. But too late.

You can share this with his classmates.
